Companion connected: your videos stay on your computer and only small versions are uploaded. In this test the final video is made from those small versions.
Montara is much faster with its companion: your videos stay on your computer and only small versions travel. Download the companion for Mac, open the zip and double-click «Install Montara Companion» (the first time macOS may ask: right-click → Open). Already installed? Open «Montara Companion» with Spotlight.

Your session, song by song.
Review the suggested boundaries and choose the songs. Each song gets its own automatic mix; your fader moves apply on top.
Your cameras
Choose each camera’s type: 360, fixed or moving. For 360 cameras, name the places or people each viewpoint shows.
Song
Play the song and mark where the video starts and ends. Montara edits only that part.
Your mix
Montara mixed your tracks automatically. Press play and move any fader: you hear the change at once. When it sounds right, use this mix for your video or download the mastered audio.

Pick the frames
These are the shots Montara chose, in order. Press Swap on any you don't like and it brings another moment from the same part of the song.
Drag a cut line to move it. Right-click a shot to choose its camera or viewpoint.
Captions & title
Write the lyrics, then shape each caption right on the video: drag it to place it, pull its corner to resize, and drag its bar below to change when it shows. Skip this if you want the reel as it is.
Click a caption on the video or on the timeline to change its colour, font, size and effect.
